Dear South Parents,

Welcome to the South Parent Group (SPG)! South School has a long tradition of universal parent participation that defines South culture. The SPG exists to coordinate between the school and parents, to align that parent support of school priorities for our children, and to encourage participation. To that end, we’ve put together some key information to help you plug into the South community. We’re really happy to have you on board.

* Volunteer and get to know your fellow South families, teachers, staff and students! All sign ups for committees, classroom, and event help are through Konstella. We have opportunities for all parents to support the school at all times of the day, night, and weekend, depending on when you can jump in and your schedule. Whether it’s taking pictures for the yearbook, helping with hot lunch service, assisting with the Art in Action program in the classroom, or putting together packets at home to help your child’s teacher, there are so many ways to volunteer.  If you have any questions about what might be best for your interests, skills, and availability, contact the volunteer coordinator at volunteers@southparents.org.


* Support the South community. South is very fortunate that we have nearly 100.0% of Hillsborough families contributing to SPG dues. The dedicated families at South are one of our greatest strengths, and we look to your support. Visit this site to pay your dues and contribute to the library. * Stay connected to us! Read our bi-monthly newsletter, Tiger Tales, which comes straight to your email, subscribe to our school calendar, and follow us on our Social Media pages. We strive to make sure our families are always up to date on the latest and greatest happenings at South.
