South Parent Group Dues
As parents and guardians of a South student, each of you are members of the South Parent Group (SPG). Each year funds are collected to support various programs for our students and staff. Please see below to see how funds are allocated across various programs and events.
The SPG dues# for 2026-2027 school year per student are as follows:
Grades TK and K = $287
Grades 1 through 4 = $277
Grade 5 = $417
The variance in amounts is due to additional supplies needed per grade. TK and K dues include an emergency fund contribution. Grade 5 dues include additional funds for the promotion ceremony and party, end-of-year parent party and class gift. Please note that dues do not include field trips.
Thank you for your continued support for our school! In 2026-2027 we are striving for 100% participation from our parent community to fund this year's staff appreciation, student events, classroom activities, annual yearbooks and so much more. If you haven't yet, please join us in reaching our goal!

# From 11/1/26, we request that you optionally cover a 3% convenience fee we pay the vendor for each transaction. Your total with(out) the convenience fee will be shown on the last check-out page before payment is processed, where you can make this choice.
* If you would prefer to opt-out of contributing to the SPG Funds, we request that you please drop a quick line to inform finance@southparents.org so that we can budget our activities appropriately.
Allocation of Funds
The South Parent Group budget consists of revenues from the parent dues collected at the beginning of each year and expenses throughout the year for various events and programs including:
Educational Support: Art in Action, STEAM Expo, Tiger Funds for teachers, Multi-Cultural Day, etc.
School & Classroom Support: Allocations for capital improvements, classroom funds for class parties, South School Yearbook, etc.
Staff Appreciation: Activities and events including staff holiday luncheon, end-of-year staff appreciation lunch, teacher gifts through the year, etc.
Family Events: South Social, Bingo Night, Movie Night, Talent Show, etc.
Community Support: Hillsborough City School District directory, Speaker Series for APG, etc.
